The text states that approximately 33,500 Japanese Americans chose to enter the military and fight for the United States during World War II. Many of these citizens would have been relocated to an internment camp otherwise. Why do you think so many of them chose to serve? hmm. maybe to prove the Japanese Americans were completely innocent, and that they were on the states side. to show that their race didn’t mean they were on japans side. and to just help the cause of fighting the war. hope that helped
