A = l*w

The find the area of the semicircle

A = 1/2 pi r^2

We know the diameter is 12 so the radius is half the diameter so 1/2 (12) = 6

A = 1/2 (3.14)(6)^2

= 1/2 (3.14) (36)

= 56.52

Add the two areas together

225+56.52

284.52

Rounding to the nearest whole number
