Answer:

3x-7y=-10_((1)) \\x=5y+2_((2))\\

Substituting Equation 2 into equation 1

3(5y+2)-7y=-10_((3)) \\15y+6-7y=-10\\15y-7y+6=-10\\8y+6=-10\\8y=-10-6\\8y=-16\\y=(-16)/(8) \\y=-2\\

Substitute the value of y into Equation 2

x=5y+2\\x=5(-2)+2\\x=-10+2\\x=-8\\

Therefore x=-8, y=-2
