to figure this out you may plug this equation into y = mx + b with b being the unknown

this goes to

-7 = -2(6) + b

then multiply 6 to -2

-7 = -12 + b

then add 12 to both sides

5 = b

b is 5 so that means the equation is

y = -2x + 5
