Solution :

Let, equation of line is y = mx + c .

Here, m is the slope( or gradient ) of the line and c is the y-intercept .

Putting point ( -6, -10 ) in above equation, we get :

-10 = -6m + c ...1)

Also, putting point ( -3, -8 ) in above equation, we get :

-8 = -3m + c ...2)

Solving equation, 1) and 2) we get :


m = (2)/(3)\ and \ y = - 6

Therefore, the gradient for the given x-y table is
(2)/(3) .
