Solution:

I think the question should be as follow:

➙ 6x + 9 - ( 5x - 3 )

➙ 6x + 9 - 5 x + 3

➙ 6x - 5x + 9 + 3

➙ x + 12

➙ x = -12

Anyways I've also solved according to the provided question:

‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ 6x + 9 (-5x - 3 )

‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ 6x - 45x - 27

‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ - 39 x - 27

Further, we can solve for x ;

‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ - 39 x - 27 = 0

‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ - 39 x = 0 + 27

‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ➙ x = - 27 / 39

More information:

Terms that have same identical variables, and same exponents parts are called like terms. To simplify these terms, you use addition and subtraction by combining the ' like terms '

6x + 9(-5x-3) = 6x + 9*(-5x) + 9*(-3) = 6x -45x - 27 = -39x - 27

Hope that helps!
