Quadrilateral ABCD is a rectangle with diagonals BD and AC that intersect at point R. \large BD=12x-6 inches and \large AR=4x+5 inches. Find DR.

Answer:

DR = 21

Explanation:

From the rectangle;

BD = AC

Since AC =2AR

BD = 2AR

12x-6 = 2(4x+5)

12x-6 = 8x + 10

12x - 8x = 10 + 6

4X = 16

X = 16/4

X = 4

Since DR = AR

DR = 4x+5

DR = 4(4) + 5

DR = 16+5

DR = 21

Hence the length of DR is 21
