What is the difference between foliated and nonfoliated rocks.

Foliation occurs when pressure causes the mineral grains in a rock to realign to form parallel bands.

Nonfoliated metamorphic Rock: Metamorphic rocks that do not have mineral grains that are aligned in planes of bands are called nonfoliated
