Answer:

9 x 24 x 1/2(basically dividing by 2) = 108 , 108 x 2(two triangles) = 216

40 x 15 = 600, 600 x 2(two slanted rectangles) = 1200

40 x 24 = 960 (area of base)

Add given areas:

216 + 1,200 + 960 = 2,376 square feet, B.
