Journalism is important to our society because it keeps the community informed on current events. Also, citizens might not be as quickly aware of sudden danger or for example, an extreme weather event without journalism.

Journalism is important to our society and daily lives because they let us know what is going on in the world. Without journalism we went to know the latest fashion trends or latest news about the president or about what happened back in the day.
