hypotenuse = 5 \: cm \\ height = 5 - 1 = 4 \: cm \\ base = \sqrt{ {5}^(2) - {4}^(2) } = √(9) = 3 \: cm

Part A:


perimeter = 5 + 4 + 3 \\ = 12 \: cm

Part B:


area = (1)/(2) * base * height \\ = (1)/(2) * 3 * 4 \\ = 6 \: {cm}^(2)
