The two-way relative frequency table which shows the distribution of data with respect to all types of books should be completed as follows;

Grade 7 Grade 8 Total

Fiction 31% 34% 65%

Non-Fiction 15% 20% 35%

Total 46% 54% 100%

In Mathematics, relative frequency refers to a ratio of a data value to the entire data set, or total of a row, or column.

In order to determine each of the values for the two-way relative frequency table, we would have to divide each value in the columns and rows by the sum of the total number of books and then multiply by 100 as follows;

Fiction (Grade 7) = 80/260 × 100

Fiction (Grade 7) = 31%.

Fiction (Grade 8) = 90/260 × 100

Fiction (Grade 8) = 34%.

Fiction (Total) = 170/260 × 100

Fiction (Total) = 65%.

Non-Fiction (Grade 7) = 40/260 × 100

Non-Fiction (Grade 7) = 15%.

Non-Fiction (Grade 8) = 50/260 × 100

Non-Fiction (Grade 8) = 20%.

Non-Fiction (Total) = 90/260 × 100

Non-Fiction (Total) = 35%

Total (Grade 7) = 120/260 × 100

Total (Grade 7) = 46%.

Total (Grade 8) = 140/260 × 100

Total (Grade 8) = 54%.

Total = 260/260 × 100

Total = 100%.
