Explanation:

log 10x + log 2 = log 60

Subtract log 2 from each side

log 10x + log 2 -log 2 = log 60 - log 2

log 10x = log 60 - log 2

We know that log a - log b = log (a/b)

log 10 x = log (60/2)

log 10x = log 30

We know log a = log b that a = b

10x = 30

Divide by 10

10x/10 = 30/10

x =3
