Explanation:

evaluate f(- 5) then substitute the value obtained into g(x)

f(- 5) = (- 5)² + 6(- 5) + 3 = 25 - 30 + 3 = - 2 , then

g(- 2) = 2(- 2) + 8 = - 4 + 8 = 4

(g ○ f)(- 5) = 4
