Is (x - 1) a factor of 2x^3– 3x^2– 18x – 8?

X-1 = 0

X = 1 ........(1)

put the value of X in given equation

2 (1)^3-3(1)^2-18(1)-8=0

2-3-18-8=0

-27 is not equal to 0.

x-1 is not factor of given equation....
