Add 4 to both sides of the equation.
x^2+4x+ 4 =0

4±√4^2−4⋅(1⋅4)
————————
2⋅1

x= -2

Answer:

x=2

Explanation:

x^2-4x=-4

x^2-4x+4=-4+4 (Add 4 to both sides)

x^2-4x+4=0

Now, we can solve it using quadratic formula

x_(1,\:2)=\cfrac{-\left(-4\right)\pm √(\left(-4\right)^2-4* \:1* \:4)}{2* \:1}

x_(1,\:2)=\cfrac{-\left(-4\right)\pm √(0)}{2* \:1}

x=\cfrac{-\left(-4\right)}{2* \:1}

x=2
