The value of an exterior angle is equal to the sum of values of two opposite interior angles.

That is :


  • 40 \degree + 40\degree = 3x + 20\degree

  • 80\degree = 3x + 20\degree

  • 3x = 60\degree

  • x = 20\degree

Therefore, value of x is 20°

And the measure of missing angle is :


  • 3x + 20\degree

  • (3 * 20\degree) + 20\degree

  • 60\degree + 20\degree

  • 80\degree

The Value of an Exterior angle is equal to the sum of values of two opposite interior angles .

Hence,


  • v + 71\degree = 107\degree

  • v = 36\degree

And therefore measure of missing angle is 36°, since v was the missing angle here.
