The answer is 9 feet tall

The way to do that is to first divide 12 by 4 once you have figured out that that is 3 you want to time 3 by 3 cause it is 3/4

it simple:

if the giraffe is 12 feet tall and the elephant is 3/4 the hight of the giraffe then all you would have to do is 12x3/4
