One pot has a water height of 8cm. Calculate the water pressure at the bottom of the pot. They give g = 10N / kg p = 1000kg / m3

We are given:

Depth of water column = 8 cm

g = 10 N/kg and ρ (density) = 1000 kg / m³

Finding the pressure at the bottom:

We know that the formula for pressure at the bottom of a fluid is:

P = P₀ + hρg [where P₀ is the atmospheric pressure]

P = P₀ + (0.08 m) (1000 kg / m³) (10 m / s²)

P = P₀ + 800 N/m²

we know that the atmospheric pressure, in N/m² is approximately 10⁵

P = (10⁵ + 800) N/m² [N/m² is also commonly called 'Pascals']

which means that at the bottom of the water column, the pressure is 800 Pascals more than what it normally is
