We know that in the coordinate point J (5, -8);

x-value = 5

y-value = -8

In order to reflect J over the y-axis, we will keep the y-value of the coordinate same and then reverse the x-value to it's opposite, Therefore the J' coordinates would be;

x-value = -5

y-value = -8

J' Coordinates = (-5, -8)
