A positively charged object has lost electrons.

Two insulating materials have rubbed together. One material transfers negative electrons to the other.

The one that transfers and thus loses the electrons becomes positively charged and the one that gains these electrons becomes negatively charged.

So a positively charged object has lose electrons.

Can’t be the second option because protons cannot move and so aren’t transferred.
