Describe in detail how you would create a number line with the following points: 3, 2.25, the opposite of 4, and – (–1fraction of one-half). Please be sure to describe on which tick marks each point is plotted and how many tick marks are between each integer. It may help for you to draw this number line by hand on a sheet of paper first.

Answer:

-2,3,-(-4),25

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you make the number line by the negative numbers going on the left and the positive numbers on the right. Basically you would put the 4 1/2 on the negative side, so then it would look like this -4 1/2. The -4 1/2 would then be placed in the middle of the 4th and 5th negative side on the number line. The 3.35 you would place on the positive side of the number line so it would look like this: 3.25 which is on the 3rd tick mark of the positive side and one quarter towards the 4th tick mark. For the 1 you would put it on the positive side of the number line which is on the right side and put it as 1 on the first tick mark of the positive side.
