Explanation:

Perimeter = 2l + 2w

but;

Perimeter = 126

lenght = 6w ( let the width be the variable w)

126 = 2(6w) + 2(w)

126 = 12w + 2w

126 = 14w

126/14 =w

w = 9

Therefore width is 9

and length = 6× 9 = 54
