Why might hydrogen be a wonderful fuel for the future?

It can be a wonderful fuel, because unlike other sources of power generation, it produces no greenhouse gas and hence does not contribute in polluting the environment or causing global warming. However it can be a dangerous fuel as well, as it is highly flammable.
