In this case, let's take 2 on the X axis as x2 and the corresponding point on the Y axis as y2 which in this case happens to also be 2.

Now, let's take 1 on the X axis as x1 and the corresponding point on the Y axis as y1 which is also 1.

now using the formula (y2-y1)/(x2-x1), we get: slope = (2-1)/(2-1) = 1
