Answer:

(x - (√(209) - 1)/(8) )(x - (-1 - √(209) )/(8) )

Explanation:

FACTS TO KNOW BEFORE SOLVING :-

Quadratic Formula :-

Lets say , there's an equation ax² + bx + c.

=> x = (-b + √(b^2 - 4ac) )/(2a) \: or \: (-b - √(b^2 - 4ac) )/(2a)

SOLUTION :-

According to the question ,

  • a (Coefficient of x²) = 4
  • b (Coefficient of x) = 1
  • c (constant) = -13

By using quadratic formula ,

x = (-1 + √(1^2 - 4 * 4 * (-13)) )/(2 * 4) \: or \: (-1 - √(1^2 - 4 * 4 * (-13)) )/(2 * 4)

=> x = (-1 + √(209) )/(8) \: or \: (-1 - √(209) )/(8)

=> (x - (√(209) - 1)/(8) ) \: and \: (x - (-1 - √(209) )/(8) ) are the factors of 4x² + x - 13.
