ANSWER: A NATURAL SELECTION.

EXPLANATION:

When allele has direct effects on the organism and the environment, it is termed natural selection. It either affects an organism positively by causing more DNA reproduction, leading to the increase in allele’s frequency, or negatively by decreasing it .

However, this shouldn't be mistakened for genetic drift, where allele increase or decrease is established in the random organisms that survived.
