To Find :

The area of triangle whose side are 4 yard, 14 yard and 17 yard.

Solution :

We will use Heron's formula to find area of the triangle.

So,

s = (a+b+c)/(2)\\\\s = (4+14+17)/(2)\\\\s = 17.5

Now, heron's formula is :

A = √(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c))

Putting all given values in above equation :

A = √(17.5* (17.5-4)*(17.5-14)*(17.5-17))\\\\A = √(17.5* 13.5* 3.5* 0.5)\\\\A = 20.33\ yard^2

Hence, this is the required solution.
