3. Write a pair of linear equations which has the unique solution x= 1 , y= -1.

Explanation:

The equations with solution x = 1 and y = (-1) will intersect each other at (1,-1) .

Equation 1 :-

  • Say slope is 1 .

→ y - (-1) = 1 ( x -1)

→ y +1 = x -1

→ x - y -2 = 0

Equation 2 :

  • Slope = -1

→ y - (-1) = -1( x -1)

→ y +1 = -x +1

→ x + y = 0
