Answer:

Hello I do not know if you have seen my response on your last problem but I already answered with a detailed response so I'll just answer with a detailed response for the first.

1st problem: area= 240 in^2

2nd problem: 17

Explanation:

The first problem is multi step and has two different formulas for each different part of the problem so you have to be careful not to mess them up but for the first thing we will use the formula a^2 + b^2 = c^2

meaning a multiplied by itself + b multiplied by itself will give you the number for when c is multiplied by itself

so... we are given c cause c is 34 in this problem so we kind of have to work backwards so... 34 × 34 = 1156 30 × 30 = 900 1156 - 900 = 256 16 × 16 = 256 therefore now we have our height that will help us find the area in the next step so for triangles you find area by doing

base × height ÷ 2

So our height would be 16 because we solved that in the last part and our base would be 30 so... 30 × 16 = 480 480 ÷ 2 = 240 therefore the area is 240 in^2 Hope that helps!
