Around 2-3/4th of white men aged 18-50 in 1870’s were part of the KKK, assuming there was 100,000 white men, around 60,000 would be in the kkk, just showing the sheer mass of the group at the time

We are told that they estimate nearly 2/3rds to 3/4ths of all the white men between 16 and 50 are members of the ku klux clan which emphasizes just how many members there already are because their are a lot if caucasien (white) men between the ages of 16 and 59
