y=mx+b
substitute the x- and y-values into the equation
(8,6)
8 is x-value and 6 is y-value

6=m(8)+b
slipe is given, it's -3 so substitute that into the equation as well

6=3(8)+b
6=24+b
substract 24 from both sides
-18=b

equation: y=3x-18
