mean: 11

median: 11

3,12,8,17,10,16

average = (3 + 12 + 8 + 17 + 10 + 16)/6 = 66/6 = 11

3,8,10,12,16,17

median = 11

centre numbers are 10 and 12, and their sum/2 = 11

mean=sum of data /no of data

=66/6

=11

mean=11

for median u should arrange the data from ascending to descending order.so,

3,8,10,12,16,17

median=N+1/2(N=number of data)

=7/2

=3.5

=3 rd term + 4 th term/2

=10+12/2

=22/2

=11

median=11
