Answer:

y = -⅓x - 5

Explanation:

the slope of g(x) = 3

=> the slope of the line perpendicular

to g(x) = -1 /3

so,

the line is :

y +5 = -⅓(x-0)

y = -⅓x - 5

On comparison to slope intercept form

  • slope=m=3

Perpendicular lines have slopes negative reciprocal to each other

Slope of perpendicular line=-1/3

Equation

  • y+5=-1/3x
  • y=-1/3x-5
