A student five and a half feet tall stands opposite of a mirror from a flagpole. The distance between the student and the mirror is 6 feet and the distance from the mirror to the flagpole is 14 feet. What is the height of the flagpole?​

4√10 = 12.649110640674 ft

Explanation:

Given b=6 and c=14,

a^2 + b^2=c^2

a^2 + 6^2 = 14 ^2

a^2 + 36 = 196

a^2 = 160

a= √160

a = 4√10
