Stone put a block it and build the Berlin wall not to punish the German people but to gain control over the city and put pressure on allied forces such as America who were supporting West Berlin financially and architecturally. Because of this massive economic support on the west side many East Berliners moved their families they’re causing a rapid migration which would be stopped by the Berlin wall. So to clarify it was not against the German people it was against the growth of West Berlin caused by among the United States

answer : no, i do not agree with this because Stalin wanted to destroy Germany of all its wealth. Britain and America wanted to rebuild Germany’s industry, i think the main cause of the Berlin blockade was because the Cold War was just getting started. Stalin was getting taken over by salami tactics and Czechoslovakia had just turned Communist. The Berlin blockage was more so a statement of power and just another event that happened between the 'cold war'.
