Use Pythagorean Theorem:


a^2+b^2=c^2

Plug in a=18 and b=6


18^2+6^2=c^2

Simplify


360=c^2

Thus when you square root both sides, you will get:


c=√(360) which is also equivalent to 18.97 or
6√(10)
