PLEASE HELP ME: a tea infuser is a right pyramid 7.9 cm tall. it's base is a rectangle 3.0 cm long and 15 cm wide. to make 1 cup of tea, the infuser must be 80% filled with tea. how many cups of tea can you make with a 100 ml tea container if you use this?

Answer:

Full volume is:

  • V = 1/3lwh
  • V = 1/3*30*15*7.9 = 1185 cm³

80% of the volume of the infuser:

  • 1185*0.8 = 948 cm³

We know 100 ml = 100 cm³

Number of cups:

  • 948/100 ≈ 9.5 cups

If you need a whole number then the answer is 9 cups

Note: The length of 3.0 cm doesn't make sense so changed it to 30 cm
