Technology has definitely made human life "easier and more comfortable," in all sorts of ways.

Actual tech- cell phones, computers, lights, virtual assistants... they all make life epically convenient.

For example, I can pick up my phone and call a friend who lives across the country, more surprising still I can call a friend half-across the globe. I could buy a new shirt online, and the seller would be able to know immediately I'd like one, and ship it (versus going to hundreds of stores looking for it).

If we didn't have lights, like LEDs, we'd still need to get up in the morning and light a candle. We would have to hand wash every dish we ate food off of, we'd have to cook over a fire. That alone makes dishwashers and ovens seem outgoingly helpful.
