**rate of change for f(x)**

f(x)=-0.3x^2

-0.3(1)^2=-0.3^2=-0.09

-0.03(5)2=-0.15^2=-0.0225

rate of change = (-0.0225-(-0.09))/(5-1)=0.0675/4=0.016875

f(x) rate of change is 0.016875 or about 0.02

**rate of change for g(x)**

g(x)=-0.6x^2

-0.06(1)^2=-0.06^2=-0.0036

-0.06(5)^2=-0.3^2=-0.09

rate of change = (-0.09-(-0.0036))/(5-1)=-0.0864/4=-0.0216

g(x) rate of change is -0.0216 or about -0.02

**how much greater?**

0.02(-1)=-0.02

g(x) is -1 times of f(x)
