The formula that'll be used for all these questions–

Speed = Distance / Time — x

Or, Distance/ Speed = Time — y

________________________________

  1. Well, here–

Distance = 1200 Meter

Time = 5 minutes

  • = 5 × 60

  • = 300 Seconds

Now, Speed = 1200 / 300 — Formula x

  • = 4 m/s

Hence, the speed of the car is 4 m/s.

________________________________

  • 2– Now, here–

Speed = 5 m/s

Distance = 2000 Meter

Time Taken = 2000 / 5 – Formula y

  • = 400 Seconds

Hence, the time taken by the car for the journey is 400 seconds.

________________________________

  • 3– Then here,

We know that Velocity = Displacement / Time

By the way, the distance traveled in a straight line is called displacement.

And, speed is a definite direction is called velocity.

Now Here, Displacement = 120 meters

  • Time = 3 Min

  • = 3 × 60

  • = 180 Seconds

Finally, Velocity = 120 / 180

  • = 2/3 m/s

  • = 0.66 m/s

Hence, the Velocity of the object is 0.66 m/s.

Answer:

convert five min into sec

=5*60

=300 sec

speed=distance/time taken

=1200m/300s

=4m/s

speed=distance/time taken

5m/s=2000m/time taken

5*time taken=2000m

time taken =2000m/5m/s

time taken =400 sec

convert 3 min to second

=3*60

=120 sec

velocity=120/120

=1m/s
