3{x}^(2) - 2 = 11x \\ + 11x \: \: \: \: \: \: + 11x \\ 3 {x}^(2) + 11x- 2 = 0 \\ quadratic \: formula \: goes \: fom \: this \: : a {x}^(2) + bx + c = 0 \\ to \: this : x = \frac{- b \ ( + )/( \: ) \: \sqrt{ {b}^(2) - 4ac } }{2a}

so now you just plug in the numbers to their corresponding letter:


x = \frac{ - 11 ( + )/( \: ) \sqrt{ {11}^(2) - 4(3)( - 2)} }{2(3)}
