Answer: actually it is

x^2/16 +y^2/7 = 1

Explanation:

the answer above is right for the X part, for the Y part it is 7, not 9!

The vertex values tell you the semi-x-axis is 4 units, and the semi-y-axis is 3 units. Then you have ...
