(a) Use the exponential growth or decay model: A (t) = a (1 + r) t where: a = 80 (initial number of 80 animals) -3.5% = -0.035 (decay rate) t → ( number of time periods, years) Then the model is: A (t) = 80 (1 - 0.035) or A (t) = 80 (0.965) t
