Explanation:

-x = 3 - 4x +6

make the -4x positive and then add it to the -x

-x = 3 +6

+4x

3x = 3 +6

then add the 3 +6 together

3x = 3 + 6

3x = 9

we want to get X alone so we are going to divide 3 by both sides

3x/3 = 9/3

1x = 3

and if you did not know we usually don't show the "1" if it is in front of a exponent (you just have to remember that there is a one there)

now you have your answer
