Together, teammates Pedro and Ricky got 2690 base hits last season. Pedro had 284 more hits than Ricky. How many hits did each player have?

Subtract the difference:

2690 - 284 = 2406

Divide by 2:

2406 / 2 = 1203

Ricky Had 1,203

Pedro had 1203 + 284 = 1,487
