The diameter of the circle if the are is pi square centimeters is 2.

What is the diameter?

Area of a circle = ¼ × π × d²

Where,

d = diameter

If the area of the circle = π square centimeters

Then,

Area of a circle = ¼ × π × d²

π = ¼ × π × d²

Make d the subject

d² = π ÷ ¼π

d² = π ÷ π/4

multiply by the reciprocal of π/4

d² = π × 4/π

d² = 4π/π

d² = 4

Find the square root of both sides

d = √4

d = 2

Therefore, diameter equals 2

Answer:

Radius of the circle = 1 centimeter.

Explanation:

Expression that represents the area of a circle,

Area = πr²

Here, r = Radius of the circle

Area of the circle given = π square centimeters

πr² = π

r² = 1

r = 1

Therefore, radius of the circle is 1 centimeter.
