Given what you now know about Three Mile Island, would you support building new nuclear power plants? Why or why not? If you answer yes, under what conditions? In your answer, please cite a specific reason. Do not just say, "because I don't think it's a good idea."

Answer:

I would support the construction of nuclear power plants.

Step-by-step explanation:

After having knowledge about the accident on Three Mile Island and the destructive power of leaks in nuclear plants, we cannot ignore how dangerous this type of energy is for all living beings where these plants are established. However, even in the face of the risks that nuclear energy promotes, I would approve the construction of nuclear plants, under certain conditions.

First, this type of plant could only be built in regions that did not have resources for other types of energy. Nuclear energy is used mainly for the production of electrical energy. However, the construction of nuclear power plants should only be allowed in regions that can only have electricity through them, and it is not possible to use another form of energy production.

In addition, nuclear power plants could only be built if they had a highly trained maintenance team that was able to make constant analyzes of the plant's operation, preventing leaks and other accidents from happening.
