Answer:

Upper left coordinate (-8,8),

upper-right coordinates (-3,8)

Lower left (- 8, 5)

Lower right = ( - 3, 5)

Explanation:

Given that :

Upper left coordinate (-8,8),

upper-right coordinates (-3,8).

x1, y1 = (-8, 8) ; x2, y2 = (-3, 8)

The distance, d = √(x2-x1)² + (y2 - y1)²

d = √(-3 + 8)² + (8 - 8)²

d = √25

d = 5

Recall :

Area = length * width

Length = distance, d

15 = 5 * w

15 = 5w

w = 15 / 5

w = 3.

Hence, coordinate becomes ;

x3, y3 becomes (- 8, (8-3)) = (-8, 5)

x4, y4 becomes (-3, (8-3)) = (- 3, 5)

Hence, we have

Upper left coordinate (-8,8),

upper-right coordinates (-3,8)

Lower left (- 8, 5)

Lower right = ( - 3, 5)

The upper-left coordinates on a rectangle are (-8,8), and the upper-right coordinates-example-1
