Hi!

In any quadratic in the form you have given (
ax^2+bx+c=0), the discriminant is ALWAYS


b^2-4ac

Given the quadratic formula:


x=(-b+/-√(b^2-4ac) )/(2a)

The discriminant would be the part of the equation that is under the square root.
